Between Mahalaya and Panchami, the Durga puja committees are working day night giving the finishing touch. I visited a few pandals yesterday to see their idea and how its coming up. Below are a few. Hope they help you make some decision :)
Sangha Tirtha (Hatibagan)
Few years back they used to create plain pandals. Last year they changed their approach and this year their preparation is looking better. They are creating an old house and it is looking great already.
How to reach
From Hatibagan crossing walk towards Central Avenue. Opposite to Hari Ghosh Street, on the left is Raja Naba Krishna Street. Take that and the first park on the left is Laha Colony ground, home for Sangha Tirtha.
Trivia
Laha Colony ground was once the practice ground for Mohun Bagan Football Club (1892 - 1894).
Hatibagan Sarbojanin
The pandal this year is a Shivalinga. In front there will be a pool of water where the organizers said the reflection of the Durga pratima can be seen. On two sides there are a few slopes, which will be converted to water falls. The work is in full flow now.
How to reach
From Hatibagan crossing walk towards Ultadanga. The first lane on right is home for Hatibagan Sarbojanin.
